AIM
This course offers a 'taste' of creative floral design
and will introduce you to the construction techniques needed to make various styles
of bouquets as well as how to arrange flowers in a vase and in natural and man-made
containers. We will also advise you on how to care and condition your flowers and
foliage and which ones to choose for the best results.
Training is conducted by skilled lecturer from the floristry industry, Eileen
Wenn.
TARGET AUDIENCE
A must for anyone who enjoys floral design
activities or is interested learning new techniques. Ideal for the beginner or more
advanced designer as you will work at your own level of design.
CONTENT
- Vase arrangement
- Strauss bouquet
- Build a table top structure for designing an arrangement for that special
occasion
- Radial fan design
- Free line arrangement using a base from nature
OUTCOMES
Care and conditioning of plant material, floral
designs and construction techniques.

There is no formal assessment for this course.

What to bring:
- Sundries:
You will need to bring a pen and paper, file, sharp scissors, sticky tape and towel. You will also need to think about compiling a toolbox that will consist of floristry specific items such as floristry snips, pliers, wires, etc. Your toolbox requirements will be covered on the first day and can be gathered on an as-needs basis. BYO coffee cup.

We will supply you with a list of materials and flowers that you will required to source or purchase.
