This is a fully accredited course of study and
instruction for the GMDSS General Operators Certificate (GMDSS GOC), complying
with National and International Standards. Our course meets the requirements of
Marine Orders Part 6 (AMSA), is fully accredited by AMSA and audited annually.
TARGET AUDIENCE
The GMDSS GOC is a statutory requirement for Bridge Watch keepers of sea
going vessels over 300 gross tonnes, and for all persons involved in the
operation of live GMDSS equipment. This course is structured on a combination of
theory and practical exercises using both ‘live to air’ equipment and
simulations. It is delivered by fully qualified & accredited lecturers with
experience as deck officer or radio officer. This course meets the requirements
of STCW95 and is AMSA approved.

- Minimum dress standards apply to campus attendance: ie closed in shoes be worn (no sandals, thongs or bare feet), neat casual attire. Shorts and t-shirts are acceptable.
