AMSA Orals Preparation

AIM
The orals preparation program is essentially a self study program designed to assist students to adequately prepare themselves for the AMSA orals examination for the issue of an Australian Certificate as Master or Marine Engineer Class 1 or 2. No formal classes are conducted.

If students would prefer extra assistance, we will provide the contact details of an experienced tutor. This will incur a fee charged by the tutor (Approx $60.00 / hour).

TARGET AUDIENCE
Students set to take the AMSA exam.

CONTENT
Enrolled students will be given assistance as follows:

• Library and internet access
• Sample exam questions

OUTCOMES
Preparation before the AMSA examination.

ASSESSMENT
No assessment, this is a preparation program for the AMSA orals examination.

FURTHER TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES
Additional maritime qualifications.

Prerequisites:

• Eligibility for examination as Master or Engineer Class 1 or 2 in accordance with the requirements of Marine Order part 3.
