This program is designed to provide participants with the skill and knowledge to responsibly serve alcohol and covers the unit of competency SITHFAB009A Provide Responsible Service of Alcohol.
TARGET AUDIENCE
Any person engaged in the sale, supply or service of liquor on licensed premises in Western Australia.
CONTENT
This approved course includes the responsible service of alcohol at venues to prevent drunkenness, exclude minors accessing liquor, and understanding that irresponsible liquor practices can lead to problems both on and off the premises.
Successful completion of this course satisfies the requirements for the purposes of Section 103A (1) of the Liquor Control Act 1988.
OUTCOMES
The course covers:
- Selling or serving alcohol responsibly
- Assisting customers to drink within appropriate limits
- Assessing alcohol affected customers and identifying customers to whom sale or service must be refused
- Refusing to provide alcohol
A Certificate of Achievement will be issued for SITHFAB009A Provide Responsible Service of Alcohol.
