- assist women to develop foundation employability skills, and

YPAVE (Young Parenting and Very Excited) PROGRAM
The YPAVE program was initially set up to support pregnant teenagers. This program now incorporates a pregnancy group based in Rockingham and two young mums programs. The programs are run in venues already accessed by youth and are designed to introduce young mums and pregnant young women to the support services available to them.
The pregnancy program incorporates midwife visits, legal information and healthy lifestyle choices. Young women cook, eat, share information and have a bit of fun. Young mums and their babies have various programs they can access, including:
First Aid, Swimming and developmental workshops.
This year we are providing several workshops for mums, dads/partners and other carers. We now have a web site we are building and look forward to young mums meeting us via the web. http://veryappey.wikispaces.com
