CADETSHIPS

Cadetships are offered by employers who wish to develop the knowledge and skills of their existing work force or new entrants, by offering them the opportunity to complete formal training at a Registered Training Organisation or college during working hours. Employers may build an obligation for recipients to work with the the employer for a minimum number of years after completion of the cadetship.

Unlike an apprenticeship or traineeship, a cadetship is not technically legislated. “Cadetship” is an identifier for generally high level qualifications and a formal training agreement can be registered if acknowledged in a training package.

Some cadetships can be determined in length by the employer and the course being undertaken.
On completion of a cadetship, the applicant will receive a certificate from the Institute.

The following Cadetships are available at Challenger Institute:

  • Engineering (ACEPT)
  • Engineering (Maritime)
