Apprenticeships
Apprenticeships combine structured 'on' and 'off' the job training with paid employment, with the 'off-the-job' component being delivered away from the workplace at a Registered Training Organisation, such as Challenger Institute of Technology.
Apprenticeships are available in a number of Industries and are offered as full-time, part-time and school-based. The term of an apprenticeship will depend on the employment type but will range from 2.5 to 4 years for full-time employment.
A Certificate of Competency is awarded on the successful completion of an apprenticeship.

Traineeships
Traineeships combines structured workplace training with paid employment. Training may be delivered totally in the workplace or some aspects may be delivered at a Registered Training Organisation, such as Challenger Institute.
Traineeships are available in a wide range of occupations and at varying levels of qualification. They are available on a full-time, part-time, and as school-based. The nominal term of a traineeship will depend on the employment type and will range from 12 months to 3 years for full-time employment.
A Certificate of Competency is awarded on the successful completion of a traineeship.
