Quinlan's Training Restaurant

These dynamic 'live works' training venues offer students hands-on and industry-relevant opportunities beyond traditional learning avenues.The award-winning Quinlan's Training Restaurant allows students real-world experience alongside their qualification.

All the centre's food and beverage facilities operate outside of peak industry operating times so that students are available to work and contribute in the workplace during these hours.

At Quinlan's Training Restaurant, South Metropolitan TAFE students have the opportunity to fully manage a restaurant and showcase their skills in planning a menu, budgeting, making purchases, and preparing and serving food and drinks to a discerning restaurant audience made up of members of the public.

Tourism students provide menu presentation and advertising when special events or exhibitions are staged at the venue

Restaurant charges for 2016



Term 2 2016: Open from Tuesday April 19, closing Friday June 24.

This semester we will be open:

  • Lunch: Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday
  • Dinner: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday

Please note that our menus and prices are:

  • Three-course Lunch and Dinner at $25
  • Three-course Concessions Lunch only $23

Alternatively, choose items from our A La Carte menu:

  • Starter $7
  • Main Course $12
  • Dessert $6

Beverages are also available at very reasonable prices. Select from our menu and allow students to practice their product knowledge and skills. 


Time of Arrival

Lunch: Arrive at 11.30am for pre-meal drinks and no later than noon for dining.
Dinner: Arrive at 6.30pm for pre-meal drinks and no later than 7.00pm for dining.

Time of Departure

It is necessary for customers to vacate the restaurant as soon as possible after 2.00pm for lunch and 9.00pm for dinner, enabling lecturers to discuss the session with the Students and to enable students to attend further classes and meet transport arrangements.

Payment Options

We are pleased to accept MasterCard and Visa card (minimum charge $10.00) EFTPOS is available, but there are no cash-out facilities. Cheque payments with prior approval, are payable to South Metropolitan TAFE.

Reservations

We will be pleased to accept booking from Monday to Friday.

Reservations are necessary and must be made in advance to avoid disappointment. Let us know if you have special dietary requirements.

A non-refundable deposit of $100 will be requested for group bookings of 10 or more. To enable us to serve you better your booking, please book early.

Tables Size


We reserve the right to break up large table bookings of more than10 persons into smaller tables to allow for adequate student training.
