OVERSEAS PARTNERSHIPS
A variety of overseas activities operate from the WA Maritime Training Centre at Challenger Institute, ranging from long term operations that are specified through Memoranda of Understanding (MOU) and contracts, to shorter term projects.
Overseas projects
The Australian Centre for Applied Aquaculture Research is engaged in projects in a number of countries that assist with development of the industry in the host country and improve the skills and capabilities of our own staff. Click here for more information about our overseas projects.
Training programs
Auspicing arrangements for training are in place, through which partnerships are formed with overseas training institutions. These enable the partner to provide programs within the Australian Quality Training Framework and under our guidance, but on their own premises and with their own staff. Maritime programs are also compliant with the provisions of the Australian Maritime Safety Authority. Click here for more information on our overseas training partners.
Courses for overseas students
Local training of overseas students is provided in a wide range of maritime programs, aquaculture and marine tourism in which overseas students undertake Australian training programs at the college. Click here for a listing of programs currently available to overseas students.
