Certificate II in General Education for Adults (CGEA) Fremantle
This is a transition program for post-compulsory aged 16-25 year olds who lack the entry requirements or require additional support before commencing vocational programs. It will be conducted at the Fremantle (Beaconsfield) campus on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, involving studies in reading, writing, maths, computing, career choices, project work and visual arts.

Certificate I General Education for Adults (CGEA) - Cockburn Youth Services
This is a transition program for younger student’s aged 15-17 year olds who lack basic entry requirements for vocational training or have missed significant schooling. This course meets the entry into most low level vocational courses (Certificates I & II) including most pre apprenticeships. Young students will also have the option of enrolling in Certificate II CGEA at Fremantle campus in second semester. This option for younger students allows additional time to develop skills and maturity before commencing full time higher mainstream courses.

Certificate II in General Education for Adults (CGEA)- WELLBEING FOR YOUNG WOMEN
For young women between the ages of 16–25 years. The theme of the program is health and wellbeing, and will incorporate reading, writing and math, with basic computing skills.

Certificate I in General Education for Adults (CGEA) Rockingham
Career Ready
This course is for students who are compulsory school aged but not currently engaged in education, training or full time work. This course aims at engaging students and providing them with the skills they will need in further training and employment. At the end of this course students will have the opportunity to continue at a CGEA Certificate II level, enter into low certificate courses such as pre-apprenticeships or look for full-time work.

Certificate II in General Education for Young Adults (CGEA)
Billy Dower Youth Centre
This course is for young people aged 16-18 who are not engaged in education or employment and may be compulsory school-aged. The course uses a project approach to address the students’ areas of interest along with developing their reading, writing and math skills.

Certificate II in Music
The Certificate II in Music is an ideal starting point for young people who are seriously considering a career in the music industry.  The course is delivered at the Castlerock Institute of Music in Rockingham.  It includes studies in music performance and theory, event preparation, recording techniques, industry structure and career options. 

Applicants must be prepared to attend an audition and be able to demonstrate at least a basic level of musical performance skills. For more information, visit the Castlerock website.

Young Parenting And Very Excited - GATE YPAVE
We have programs that run in Kwinana and Rockingham for young women 14-24 years of age who are pregnant and/or parenting.  The course helps young mums identify their own study and training plans also assisting with enrolments to study at home, university or with a Registered Training Organisation.

Programs are developed for students who are either pregnant, or have an infant or toddlers up to the age of 4.  The attendance requirement is 3.5 hours a week and you may bring your child/children along.  You will meet all kinds of other young mums and lots of people who can help with your child’s development including the preparation and learning about eating healthy food.  For more information, download our  YPAVE Pamphlet (PDF 847KB).

(YARP) YOUTH ACCESS RE-ENGAGEMENT PROGRAM
This program is part time for young people who are not accessing education, training and employment. YARP utilizes an out reach approach to provide individualised programs, which will allow young people to consider further education and training or explore employment options. It provides 1:1 learning approach and delivers accredited units from the Intro Certificate I General Education for Adults (CGEA) delivered in community settings.
