Hospitality scholarship
s
Challenger Institute of Technology and Aquarium Seafood Chinese Restaurant have partnered to offer two scholarships in commercial cookery and food and beverage services, available in Semester 2 at Challenger Institute of Technology.
The purpose of these scholarships is to raise the participation of young people
in education, training and meaningful work and re-skill the mature-age
workforce. The scholarships aim to improve the current standard of skills, foster a sense of pride for those working in the industry and address the current hospitality labour shortage.
The scholarships provide opportunities to work in a variety of establishments and locations so you can learn from the best in the industry and gain a wide range of skills and experiences.
You will complete an up-front work-readiness skills program and participate in supervised work placements at Challenger's Beaconsfield campus and possibly other hospitality establishments. New, state of-the-art kitchen and restaurant facilities will provide you with the opportunity to train using the latest industry equipment.
Scholarships will be paid on the basis that winners undertake study in the year in which the scholarship is awarded and do not defer their studies. Australian citizens or Australian permanent residents only can apply for these scholarships.
