CERTIFICATE IV ENGINEERING (INSTRUMENTATION)
The MEM40105 Certificate IV in Engineering (Instrumentation) program provides electricians with an opportunity to gain theoretical knowledge and practical hands-on experience in industrial process control and instrumentation.
The course focuses on control system fault finding to minimize plant downtime. It also has a flexible learning theory component to maximize time on the tools. You control your time and attendance, which makes it easier to meet work commitments. The start dates are flexible and you have one year to complete.
There are three pathways towards achieving this qualification. Each has different requirements but all paths require a strong desire to achieve and self motivation.
- EWI – Certified Grade 'A' Electrician currently working in instrumentation or has previous experience in instrumentation.
- ENW – Certified Grade 'A' Electrician not working in instrumentation and none/little previous experience in instrumentation. The ACEPT plant and instrument workshop will be used as the industrial plant and supervision will be by ACEPT lecturer.
- APP - Electrical Apprentices in stage 2, 3, or 4.
