COURSE STRUCTURES AND GRADUATE OUTCOMES
Training at the Australian Centre for Energy and Process Training (ACEPT) is offered in a variety of formats, including:
- Live training on the process plant
- Simulation
- Online, correspondence and classroom-based learning
- Workplace-based
- Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) using workplace-based assessors
For those new to the industry, training commences at Certificate II level. Operators working in industry are encouraged to utilise their workplace systems and procedures for completion of assessments up to the Advanced Diploma of Process Plant Technology.
Competency is proven by completing practical assessments in the workplace as well as by demonstrating an understanding of the relevant theory. Workplace-based assessments are conducted by qualified assessors/supervisors who verify and validate assessments.
The courses are delivered at ACEPT or entirely in the workplace (or as a combination of both). They may also include Recognition of Prior Learning and involve qualified workplace assessors to complete assessments.
