HOW TO APPLY

In order to study at Challenger Institute you will need to first apply for a course you are interested in. If your application is successful, you will be sent out an official offer.

If you choose to accept this official offer, you will be able to enrol in your selected course for study. More information on the enrolment process can be found on our How to Enrol page.

     2013 Semester 2 Course Guide



    1. IMPORTANT APPLICATION DATES

    May

    • 01/05/13 - Wed - Applications open for Semester 2, 2013
    • 29/05/13 - Wed - Applications close for Semester 2, 2013 (courses requiring a folio)

    June

    • 07/06/13 - Fri - Applications close for State Training Admissions courses for Semester 2, 2013
    • 21/06/13 - Fri - Competitive offers mailed out July 2013

    July

    • 03/07/13 - Wed - State Training Admissions offers must be accepted by 3pm
    • 04/07/13 - Thu - Part time Enrolments 9.00am to 6.00pm

    2. APPLYING FOR FULL-TIME COURSES

    2.1 NEW STUDENTS (Inc. school leavers)
    New students can submit an online application through the State Training Admissions online application service by logging into the State Training Admissions website.

    • Contact a Career Development Adviser for more information or a one-on-one consultation about your course/career options. They can be reached by emailing info@challenger.wa.edu.au or calling 9239 8189.

    2.2 INTERNATIONAL AND INTERSTATE STUDENTS
    If you are wishing to study at Challenger Institute, you are required to go through a different process for enrolment and will be subject to higher course fees.

    2.3 SUBMITTING A LATE APPLICATION (Safety Net Application)

    If you miss the deadline in submitting an application for study in a popular full-time course, a Safety Net Application will be considered if there are places left in the course after the official enrolment period. Be aware that your Safety Net Application will only be considered after all official enrolments are completed.

    2.4 CONTINUING STUDENTS
    If you are currently studying full-time at Challenger Institute of Technology and you wish to continue your studies in your current learning pathway (e.g. Certificate III Business into Certificate IV Business), which requires the Minimum Entrance Requirements only to be addressed, you can complete an Expression of Interest form and lodge it with a Client Contact Centre on campus.

    If you wish to continue your studies in a competitive course, you will be required to submit an online application by logging into the State Training Admissions website. Contact admissions@challenger.wa.edu.au to find out if a course is competitive or non-competitive.



    3. APPLYING FOR PART-TIME OR SHORT COURSES

    3.1 APPLYING FOR PART-TIME COURSES
    A range of subjects from many courses are offered on a part-time basis each term and semester. In most instances there is no formal application process for part time study at Challenger Institute. Enrolments to most courses are offered in January/February and June/July of each year

    Enrolments are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis and can be done online, by phone or in person. Call us to check if there are any pre-requisites, folios, interviews or other special entrance requirements for your course.

    3.2 APPLYING FOR SHORT COURSES

    Our short courses are an ideal way of giving your career a boost; helping you to acquire new skills to use for employment, self-employment or purely for personal interest & enjoyment.
